La Gacilly photo festival, 2017
An interview (en français) about my work exploring the legacy of Soviet nuclear testing in the Kazakh Steppe, where a quarter of the world’s atomic tests took place during the Cold War. The work was made possible by the Yves Rocher photo prize, awarded at Visa pour l’image in 2016, and was exhibited at the festival, followed by a screening at Visa and an immersive exhibition the following year at La Gacilly’s sister festival, Baden Photo, in Austria.
