Freedom of the press I appear to be one of three international journalists in town, the other two being for Radio France International and the Beeb, and leaving me the only man on the wires. It feels a world-away from the safety net of covering South Sudan’s independence. On the plus side, I’d like to think of myself as a little less biased as these guys. Today is the last day of campaigning for Monday’s elections, and here you have a whole bunch of cameramen, all sporting Kabila garb, filming his campaigning followers, whilst riding around with the police.
